About dalton gau

Dalton Gau has seen firsthand how political theater and partisan gamesmanship distract from the real issues facing Oklahomans.

A former Legislative Clerk, he’s ready to bring reason, fairness, and accountability back to state government.

Dalton is a lifelong Oklahoman who understands the values of hard work, honesty, and service. He graduated from Edmond North High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma in just three and a half years, where he was elected Vice President of the Student Government Association.  Dalton’s path has always been guided by service. He worked as a Reading Clerk at the Oklahoma House of Representatives, ensuring floor debates ran smoothly and fairly, and later served at Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, helping those who couldn’t afford an attorney find justice. His time in the classroom during the Oklahoma teacher shortage taught him that strong communities begin with strong schools and that every student deserves a fair shot to succeed.

“I’ve seen government from the inside, and I know it can work better for everyone. Oklahomans deserve leaders guided by reason, not rhetoric.”

Now completing his final year at Oklahoma City University School of Law, Dalton plans to sit for the Oklahoma Bar Exam in 2026. His legal education and experience have reinforced his belief that truth, transparency, and the rule of law must always come before politics.  “Public service isn’t about scoring points; it’s about solving problems. That’s what I’ll do every day for the people of District 83.”  When he’s not working or studying, Dalton enjoys running at Martin Nature Park, flying his foil kite at Lake Hefner, and exploring Oklahoma’s parks and trails with family and friends.
